Törggelen in Klausen
Autumnal pleasures between nature and culinary indulgence
Bright red, lush green and shining gold: in October and November, when nature shows off its brightest palette, South Tyroleans like to walk through the vineyards and chestnut forests in and around Klausen and call in at farmsteads or taverns to renew one of the most beloved traditions in South Tyrol: Törggelen.
Törggelen at local farms
Sit back in a cosy farmhouse parlour, savouring homemade specialities and a glass of new wine from the cellar. A simple pleasure that turns autumn into a real delight.

The Chestnut Trail

The Chestnut Trail
The perfect Törggelen experience: the Chestnut Trail will take you through a forest of centuries-old chestnut trees. Enjoy the rustling leaves and the mild sun before calling in at one of the many taverns along the way.
Gassltörggelen in Klausen
Every year, at the end of September, the town of Klausen kicks off the Törggelen season with a special event: Gassltörggelen. Expect stands serving traditional Törggelen dishes, folk music and, as a highlight, a parade through the old town.
